Colouring: The secret to de-stress

Hello everyone!

Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably noticed that adult colouring book are all the rage right now.  I wanted to see for myself what the fuss is about, so yesterday I picked up two adult colouring books.  Colouring is not just an activity for keeping kids busy, it has also been shown to have stress-reducing benefits.  

These are my colouring books; 2 Craft Sensations (by Grafix) Creative Colouring For Adults.  Each book has 160 pretty designs to be coloured in.  I'll make sure to find some time to start colouring these fun designs asap.    


Supposedly, adult colouring books can help you relax and unwind after a long, stressful day.  Some people even report sleeping better when colouring before bedtime.  I hope this works for me as well since I suffer from insomnia.  I'm hoping colouring will be relaxing and de-stressing.  It's definitely a fun activity that takes me back to childhood!  Between my hula hooping workouts and now colouring, I'm definitely in touch with my inner child.  Or maybe it's because, as they say, Geminis never grow up! : ) 

If you don't want to buy any books you can find free colouring pages online and you can also colour on you smartphone or tablet with  Colorfy (free app).  You can download it from iTunes or GooglePlay.
